Victoria Park
In 1952, The Hong Kong Jockey Club made a donation of HK$2.5 million to the Government for the reclamation of the Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter on the condition that the area would be retained as an open space for the benefit of the community. This reclaimed area soon became the Victoria Park that the people of Hong Kong still enjoy today. Victoria Park holds pride of place as the first of many community project donations the Club has made.
