The Club donated HK$700 million in the 1990s to build a public golf course in Kau Sai Chau with the aim of making this previously elite sport available and affordable to the wider community.

Built by the Club, The Jockey Club Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course (KSC) is the only golf course in Hong Kong open for public enjoyment. To further promote the sports to the community, the up-and-coming Golf Academy will provide professional training to further the dreams of many like Jacqueline Leung. The Assistant Coach at KSC could have had her desire to become a jockey thwarted by visual disability and injury, but she was able to develop a second passion for golf through coaching and leading the city’s team of disabled golfers to world championships.
