The Club donated HK$300 million to build the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts to nurture talent in the arts.

Receiving an HKJC Scholarship was a dream come true for Colleen Lee as it enabled her to complete her studies at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA). Little did she envisage at the time that she would be able to take her dream of becoming a concert pianist a stage further when, after she graduated, the Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund provided an opportunity for her to pursue further studies abroad. Since the establishment of the HKAPA in 1984, the Club has played a significant role in helping the city's only tertiary institution for the performing arts nurture talented individuals by funding various hardware improvements and training programmes.
