The 130th Anniversary Community Celebration with the Elderly

Elderly Lunches share anniversary joy with over 4,000 senior citizens

In celebration of the Club's 130th Anniversary, we are sharing in the joy of riding high together with people from all walks of life, including Hong Kong's elderly residents. Beginning in March, the Club has been treating seniors to lunch at Sha Tin Racecourse in partnership with the 18 District Councils. In addition to enjoying a specially-prepared meal, the elderly also take part in activities such as dessert making, a fun quiz, and a racecourse tour. Click on the links below to see memorable moments from each of the elderly lunches.

Club Chairman Dr Simon S O Ip, Steward Philip Chen and CEO Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges enjoy making desserts with the elderly.

Club Chairman Dr Simon Ip expresses the Club's hope to keep "Riding High Together for a Better Future" together with the people of Hong Kong.

A toast is held to thank the elderly for their many contributions to Hong Kong society.

The oldest participants are given special prizes.

Each elderly participant is given a special 130th Anniversary laisee and a goodie bag with mementos to remember the occasion by.

Led by the Club's volunteers, the elderly pay a visit to the racecourse facilities and take group photo.

The elderly were invited to write wishing cards to express their hopes for Hong Kong.
